From Shy and Sweet To Strong and Sassy
The hate I see inside your eyes
Shows me how much you despise
The changes I made in my life
Since becoming your new wife
I used to be so shy and sweet
Thinking you made me complete
Telling me the way to live
Lots of take and not much give
From a man with the control
Every action spent to mold
Me into his perfect obsession
Scared to give any objection
So I let him beat me down
Until I turned it all around
Showing him courage I built
This wallflower will not wilt
But grow stronger and not break
Every morning that I wake
Will test my ability
To avoid your misery
And show you how powerful
This shy and innocent girl
Has become and wont return
Now that your starting to learn
You can't push me anymore
Or you'll be right out the door
Locked out of my house and mind
Until you can learn to find
The gentleness to show you care
Without hateful words and fear
