Free Cee I Wanted a Thousand Years Not a Thousand Tears
I WANTED A THOUSAND YEARS NOT A THOUSAND TEARS
we've laughed together and had experiences i'll never forget
we've shared times together which made me ecstatic that we ever met
we've visited places while striding together hand in hand
and you fleetingly led me to a lovely and lavender land
you've done wondrous things for me and i for you
we've melded hearts and made me feel as if our love was too good to be true
we've made decisions together and more often than not agreed
and you taught me the true meaning of yearning and the desperation of imperative need
we shared time when you gave me things i never felt worthy of
you showed me how many smiles can be in the middle of true and lasting love
you made me believe we could live in a castle in a realm of extraordinary ease
and provided me warmth when i felt as if i lived within a deep freeze
we sat together with our flesh and feelings laid bare
and i began to believe you came along to prove you really care
you've taught me about thrilling beginnings and promises that will never end
and convinced me that a lover can also become my best friend
you've made me laugh and held me when i needed to cry
so can you imagine how i'm going to feel now that i have to say goodbye?
