Forbidden
From the darkness came softness
From obscurity came life and warmth
The nighttime gently became day
Tenderness washed away the grey
Beauty hidden by night’s disguise
Veiled beyond my pleading eyes
Became so vividly clear to me
An angel’s voice had just spoken
The senses of my passion woken
I had been touched by kindness
Made to see from blindness
Aroused from slumber by desire
As the moth would fly to fire
Foolish to touch the forbidden
Mad to caress the hidden
Impatience threatens fate
But compelled I am to wait
