For Lucy
When the sun shines in a garden
There’s nowhere else to be;
My heart lies deep in a garden
Created for you and me
Blossom fairies in full flight
Form Intricate patterns of shadow and light
In delicate pinks and china blues;
That ever make me think of you
And what you mean to me.
Should you ever need me,
You know where I will be
Safe in that special garden
Only you and I can see.
If life takes awkward twists and turns
And you begin to lose your way
Make haste to our special garden;
You’ll find me waiting there.
You’re one of Nature’s Children,
So good, so pure and true,
And life will deal it’s favoured hand
To a special girl like you
You’ll play life’s hand with kindness,
With courage and with pride
always putting others first
Softening their woes and hurts
When finally that day arrives
and I’m no longer by your side
No loving arms to hold you close
Or feel your love and warmth inside
You are my special Angel
Created from my love,
So strong, the power of life nor death
will ever break the bond
Just remember when you feel alone
and answers hard to find,
I’ll ever be your help and guide
My arms are always open wide
These things I promise faithfully
Until eternity unwinds!
