First Innocense

Men choose to live, and innocense is man's alone; Who chooses not to live, let him his guilt atone. I choose to think, and that's first seed of innocense. I choose to act, and that's my innocense come true. I choose to act for me, and that is innocent sense; I choose my joy, entirely innocent straight through. The things outside of man---all nature and all beasts, Aren't pure; morality for them does not exist. I have no guilt for using earth or changing it; It has no innocense to mar, can care no wit. For innocense, it came to being within man, And only man can lift it up where it began; Can raise, and keep it brave, by strength of selfish choice. Fair innocense would die without a human voice. So, you who guilty feel for using earth so well--- For making cars and building malls to buy and sell, Who guilty feel for businesses that make you proud, Say "No" inside your mind, then shout it loud, "I choose to live, and innocense is mine alone! Who chooses not to live, let him his guilt atone!"
