Finally

Finally I’m forgiving you. Making you the helium in my balloon. Taking you into my lungs, once more. Giving you one last chance, to totally misconstrue how I say things. before I retie it. Send it soaring into the sky. To associate with the cumulus, manipulate the currents, navigate the wind, then disappear into someone else’s back yard.

I am guilty. I'm known "to totally miscontrue" how she say things. You can't blame a fallen man, though. Our brains don't work and we think with our feelings while our ego drowns. A fallen man is doomed. We should all make balloons. I'll take the pink one.

Letting go is not an easy thing to do, yet very liberating if one succeeds. Love the image and sentiment you convey in this very well written poem. Well done. Love Heidie
