Feelings
Another Christmas without the family
The day is long and loneliness sets in.
Bit by bit, sad feelings draw closer.
Memories, and thoughts, of days gone by.
The telephone call is eagerly awaited,
And finally comes with reassuring words.
Words of greetings, and activities described.
The voice from afar sounds just next-door.
