False Accusations

Bitter cold as I sit in my room Snow falling heavy and I’m hit by the gloom. Now I’m in deep thought wondering what went wrong… How’d they come up with this? Feels like being accused falsely of taking someone else’s song Guess that’s why ignorance is a bliss So they’re accustomed to being stuck in the midst. On the way to forty weeks as the seasons change… This state of mind remains but the heartache of heaven backwards disappeared like the rain Too much to stomach; I can’t take the pain Rather stay focused than to go insane Strong-hearted with a touch of love Can you feel it? Don’t take kindness for weakness… That will only make things colder Imperfectionist accuses with he said it, she said it Can they prove it? Then you do it! Life is too short to hold false grudges… As we get older with time We can wipe away those imperfect smudges Smile a little more Laugh a little harder Hold on a little stronger…you know…honesty lasts longer But until false accusations are proven to be innocent This is how life goes, “It just is what it is, isn’t it?” By: Aleasha Martin
