Faith and Medicine
It’s not that they’re stupid, it’s just that they’re unreasonable. They’ve rejected doctors as standing autonomously, when our physical makeup mostly consists of idempotent elements, making us all independent people when acting or interacting. We behave ourselves, our behaviour being our responsibility exclusively, and not our parents or teachers’ because we are all responsible for our own actions. Pride or distaste then results, because actions are personal.

So why does god come into the NHS? It’s tragic that one should not let oneself trust and so thank your doctor with a pure heart, without some silently reserved gratitude for god or Jesus, because on the same day as thanking your doctor, you put your hands together in your lounge in the evening to thank god for exactly what the doctor gave you, which only compromises your own readiness to phone your GP. And in physical rehabilitation therapy, it’s important to trust your therapist fully since your progress will be far greater than if you have god in your mind when you try so hard to take a step. Within the therapist interaction situation, within that arena, god is not real, but your therapist is because she or he can love you.
Thought I had thanked her
But guilt encapsulated
Although secretly
Physically real
In that vast space, so talking
My therapist shines
And why can’t this be an abstraction for all life? We are physical beings, made of matter, like plants, animals, the planets or sunlight, so we must respect the worth of necessary conditions in philosophy’s ontological set descriptions because we can describe things without god or metaphysics as we don’t need that god supplementation for a complete philosophical description of relationships. Why use seventy-five characters to describe that which can be set down in fifty? Consequences will be evident.
Elements make me
For everything, can trust people
God just interferes
So our definition can be said to be without god, because we can be described as without god. The truth often comes out when you see a doctor, when something serious is wrong. So the reputation of the health professional matters to me, and they deserve the praise they are due. So please think twice before connecting a health situation with god instead of being at peace with the skill, and indeed the stealth of the doctor.
