Faces of Loneliness
Quiet corners of the night
hold the secrets of sadness.
Lonesome souls without the light
cascading the waves of madness.
Forgotten by everyone they know
with their humanity torn.
Days are torture and nights so slow
they wish they were never born.
Lonely eyes will gaze at you;
foreheads lined with worry.
We pass them quickly by it's true;
pretend we're in a hurry.
Lost souls that cannot comprehend
what turned their tears to rust.
This road has just a dark dead end;
But for grace that could be us.
