Faces Behind the Mask

People see what they want to see. But what about the rest? What about what cannot be seen behind the mask. It does not matter how you wear your clothes, It does not matter where you call home, The battles you fight within yourself only you can see. Release the pain in your eyes moving onto another day. Tears, fears, sadness and sorrow Paint the world we know. Wouldn’t it be amazing? If for once, we were seen for who we are? Take away the labels and the doubts. Replace them with love and hope. Let go of the devils hand and Follow the path of a righteous man. Use Gods words as a map, Hide his lessons close to your heart. Turn to God when you do not understand, Talk to him like he is there. Listen to his advice and you will see That the faces behind the mask Are the same as you and me? The time has come don’t you see To show the world who you are, Stepping out from behind the mask and shining like a star.
