Evening Sonnet
Evening Sonnet
If I could etch this vision in my mind,
watercolors on the horizon find.
Setting glows of orange and red,
pinks and yellows mingled threads.
Your gift of light fantasia see,
earth's at peace and harmony
Watching such a glorious glow,
knowing wars and angers grow.
Floods and famines, earthquakes roar,
warming earth's internal floor.
Rapture waits beyond the door,
Let not the Albatross give soar.
God's gifts of peace and gentle rest,
The sun will rise, the sun will set.
