Even a Sparrow Soars

Even a sparrow soars As its tiny soul Climbs to great heights Have you seen it? Wings flat against the body Brown bullet Aerodynamically Slicing through the air Covering distances In a twinkling That we lumbering humans Take minutes to travel Surely it can reach heaven More easily than we December 7, 2009

This one is keeping me smiling. Love those little birds. Love to watch them all. You certainly showed them off very well in your excellent little poem.-Robert

Yes, I believe they can reach heaven more easily than we. Love this one, Corinne. We feed hundreds of birds every day in our backyard...mostly sparrows and starlings...once in awhile a bluejay. They're all the same to me...love 'em. Love, daver

If only we had those kinds of wings to soar to Heaven just to say "hello" to all who live there now.. and another "hi" to the Most High... great writing Corinne... uplifting... blessings... luv... "Sweetheart" of P.S.

This is why I love poetry so much. It allows us to soar with the birds and take journeys heretofore not imagined. Lovely work, Corinne! Carolyn
