Eternity
In the garden of our youth
Where the heavens still sing
Heavy rains pour down upon our souls
My god used to walk with me
He speaks through the flowers
His voice is sweet like wine
The melody he gave to the birds to sing
The joy of such youth in flourishing gardens
For I wish to sing, the sadness begins
The night around me will come to an end
As I grow to see the fates outside
For we all must leave the garden of youth
Now I am alone, not even Eve
Will dance among the dead roses
For the garden of youth has faded away
Only a true heart would wish to stay
I used to dream of heaven
Who not wants to be saved
From this earthy pain
As raindrops poison my drink
My god walks with me
For there is no other
Love does not belong to tomorrow
I may live a dream, some have said
Hoped for love, better off dead
