Eternity

The confusion of forever is often shown, As one tries, to a youngster, to explain the unknown. “How long is eternity?” they often ask, To answer this question is a difficult task. To simply say that it will never end Is to answer correctly and the truth not bend. To try to put it into months and years, Is to watch it fall upon unhearing ears. The endlessness of eternity is reality for sure. Its certainty only God can ensure. To call it a “dream” or a “wishful thought” Is a mistake that will forever be woefully fought. Where one will be in eternity will depend On choices made before time’s end. So choose Christ and in Him eternal life gain, And never have to worry about Hell’s pain. To say that these places do not exist, Is to continue absolute Truth to resist. Belief or not does not make it so, Into one, or the other, all will go.
