Syllables 10-Wooden basket with swinging handle 7-Bouquet blossoms smells budding 7-Olfactory joy buzzing If anyone is knowledgable of this type of poem let me know if I got it right. It is a little tricky.

gosh, I never heard of this before, but your syllable counts look great, Doris! Oops, I just reread the first line, you need to add one more syllable there to that line. Just say "a" swinging handle. There you will get in your extra needed syllable!

Love the image and the scents that fill your poem, Doris. Haven't tried an Englyn before, but I think this poem is terrific! Love, Carolyn

Yes, Doris, it is very complicated. In composing it, you may forget the theme on which you are writing. There are eight types of Englyn and two more of Corn and Welsh. Your seems to be Englyn penfyr Englyn were often written to praise or to mock a famous person. I think you are on the right line. "Olfactory" typo?, Doris
