End of Days

How terrible it were hearing his voice With half-shut eyes asleep in a half-dream I fought until I could fight no more it seemed Non suffering is the memory I made my choice Comforter, where is your comforting? Sorrow where is thy relief Lord God, I implore you please No lingering, quickly take away my grief I say to you in no plainer words Than these that I have in my heart I do not love this sin filled world Nor have I from the start I care nothing of mankind’s evil ways That will only lead them to the end of days I do not love the things of this world Not the desires of the flesh Not the desires of the eyes Nor the pride in riches For this place and its desires Are passing away Those who do not choose you See it pass every single day But those who do the will of God Will live forever!
