Sad tales you write. The futility of life is rampant here. Forging new memories wraps things up very nicely. love Kathy Any relation to Joyce Kilmer? You are more like Alan Seeger.

Ah yes. ...our quality of living occurs in the mind... When it crumbles into fragments I hope there are remnants of good experiences . This has lovely, thoughtful perspective :)

there are ways to make it stop. Meditate. Loss yourself in a song, run so hard till you can't anymore.... Kilimer

Those last three lines are powerful. Elvis isn't dead. He is very much alive in many people's minds and hearts. Just like any other memory. I like the style of this poem. Has a touch of the past. Very nice and I enjoyed reading it! Always, Laura
