Echoes of the Heart

I was blind. All around me I would see, nouns. To use and abuse. Chains of obscurity, around my heart. All to keep it disused. I was crippled. Through life, I would crawl. With sharpened claws of my destruction. I would rake away any, Who attempted my heart’s, reconstruction. I was broken. My soul was slowly bleeding, leaking. Universal purpose pooling. Scalding chambers of love, Cracked and slowly cooling. Blind eyes, Crippled mind, Broken bleeding soul. Then you came, Indefensibly Igniting my soul of blackened coal. I found myself wanting, no longer was I maimed. My diseased heart had been stole, The moment you fanned my coals…. they flamed. 03/23/13 For the Echoes of the Heart Contest.
