Drifting Tones of Selfless Love

It’s in the whispers of sound that you think you hear in the wind; And in the rains that fall like tears that could bring new life. And as the lightening precedes the thunder it can be so loud That you think it may be announcing a message too impossible to conceive. And my tears rush out pouring down my face; Sadden by the thought of knowing that I let so many chances slip by And knowing it wasn’t just me that was let down. And the rain it comes and new life grows but I wish. Once lightning did strike me in my heart; And the thunder sent a message to my mind that unfortunately never flowered; But in a dream I had we were harmonizing together somewhere in the clouds; And creation clapped for us so loud it sounded like thunder.
