Dreams of You
I've been here before, time
repeating.
It's a revolving door.
Wanting to look into your eyes,
and drown in a sky of azure.
Looking into mine, you'll melt
in the honey color.
What will I find, when this
connection is made, a friend, a
lover, or one in the same.
Hands will shake, cold and
clammy,
gestures of insecurity.
Stuttering words, though a
genuine smile, hoping to see
yours too.
This uncomfortable silence is
making me dizzy. Just waiting.
Moment of impact, your arms
around me, my fluttering
heart finds a slow perfect
rhythm.
I am consoled to feel your heat,
your body pressing
up against me.
Swimming feeling running
through my blood, catch me if I
swoon.
Wanting this first meeting to be
just as I've dreamed.
Just as I've dreamed of you.
