Down where the river bends between Two mountains steep, autumn breezes Stir trees, blow leaves to harvest glean There's an isle one could live in ease See from whence the river doth come And which way it doth flow, open Window to life above, how life hums Miles below, time and again One could see activity flow. Each day's sunrise 'pon the mountain Everyday's sunsets westerly show A hermit's isle which in thoughts remain How constant the gold sun would rise Each night the moon would shine its light Steady like God's grace that great prize The open door to heaven's home and delight finis
