Down where the river bends between
Two mountains steep, autumn breezes
Stir trees, blow leaves to harvest glean
There's an isle one could live in ease
See from whence the river doth come
And which way it doth flow, open
Window to life above, how life hums
Miles below, time and again
One could see activity flow.
Each day's sunrise 'pon the mountain
Everyday's sunsets westerly show
A hermit's isle which in thoughts remain
How constant the gold sun would rise
Each night the moon would shine its light
Steady like God's grace that great prize
The open door to heaven's home and delight
finis
