Doomed To Be I

Why can I not see the sun? Only misted where I run, No clear path for me to tread, Only side step death and dread. When will I be seen as more? Than a girl with twisted flaws, When will I be recognised? As the child that survived. Why can’t men be just my friend? Tell me lies and just pretend, I will not have my mother’s fate, To be alone without a mate. When will I believe in me? And be the goddess I was meant to be, Every girl should have her place, Why is mine at hells gate.
