Docile Ghost

The tattered gown lay fixated
She let her steady gaze tail
The people in the electric box
East to west
West to east
Each way they went her eyes
Were sure to go
From dawn to dust
And dust to dawn
All day long

It has come to stay
And be lord over men
Whose unguarded gaze
Defies intellect.

OOOh, I love the ghosties. Love your twist with words eas & west and dawn to dust in those two lines, gives a special feeling to the verse.

Intriguing piece, Ingibo. Yes, indeed. I think we should all treasure memories of past loves - so much better than negative feelings
