'distant Star'

You want to fade away? Want to be that distant star That brings about perplexity It’s not who you are You were never intended to be Just a distant star Your light shines through Without you knowing Those around you feel your warmth Others see it, Others wonder; in amazement What creates the radiance? The vivacity, Your natural glow Like a second skin – You encompass Without drowning those around you Adequate provision to make them feel The wealth of being treasured Without losing their identity Fading away is impossible You shine without being overbearing Just enough to make everyone feel loved ©161020082013

Wilma, this is outstanding! When someone's aura shines brightly, others can feel it, be effected by it and some can even see it. Your poem shares this fact so exquistly. One can not help feeling peaceful and loved when being bathed in colors. This is truly a beautiful tribute! Congratulations on it being featured!

In a way this reminds me of the poem written by John Keats "Bright Star Would I Were Steadfast As Thou Art". Great poem

I think that your light shines bright, so bright dear Missy Woke, I can't resist- 'shine bright like a diamond!', and you writing this Very moving poem reflects your own radiance and big heart. I just bet that the person who inspired this got all teary and got their hearts full when they read this! Such a touching gift this is! I think you yourself have a radiant glow, inside and out and blessed are we who get embraced by it. Allow me to thank you from my heart for being such a wonderful and caring friend, God bless you and mwahugs <3! I Love this poem! Maybe that distant star is not so distant after all, but so much closer... This truly made me wonder and ponder, in a good way- twinkle twinkle little star...
