Different Girl

She sits in lunch blushing like there is no tomorrow. She found a man who makes her smile. As you watch her you see the way she moves is different from before. She used to act as if there was someone going to get her, now she freely talks and laughs. I don’t understand has she awoken from her pain or is she just so happy she forgot about the way things were before. I sit watching from the inside out as she tosses her hair and looks down to hold the laughter in. She is not the same as she used to be. As you watch there are several men around her but she only pays attention to one of them. She tells her man that no one will break them apart. I wonder if as she says this she thinks of her past. Her picture of life had once been shattered but now it’s as if nothing wrong has ever happened to her. The world is like a brand new place for her to explore.
