Lights stab night
Cocks call day
Snakes hide.

Sun hates sleep
Winds roam dry
Lips crack.

Air wears dust
Eyes lose tears
Streams dry.

Trees hate leaves
Shrubs choose death
Fires rage.

Dark strikes day
Bugs praise night
Doves roost.

It sure is dry...not far from the Sahara desert. Thanks for commenting.

I like this one a lot. For me it paints a picture of the unchanging, giving the reader a feeling mixed (and this is just me) with lost hope and an appreciation for natural beauty at the same time. Keep it up mate!
