Death Will Not Do Us Apart
You are everywhere,
In the mirror when I smile, I see you in my smile,
I see you in the way my eyes, just light up to seize the day.
You are everywhere that I’ am.
You are everywhere,
In my smile when I smile, in my jokes when I joke,
In my dreams when I sleep, and in my mornings when I wake,
You are everywhere that I am.
You are everywhere,
In the thoughts that I think, in the prayers that I pray,
In the tears that I shed and the pain that I feel,
You are everywhere that I am.
You are everywhere,
In the gait of my father, in the build of my uncle,
In the voice of my brother and the temper of our bull.
You are everywhere that I ‘am.
You are everywhere,
And though you are gone you are here,
In the songs I sing, I hear your voice,
And like a balm to my aching heart,
You are everywhere that I’ am.
You are everywhere,
I close my eyes and see your smile,
I hear your voice cheering me on,
And when I fall I feel your strength
You are everywhere that I’ am.
You are everywhere,
I see you grandpa in the eyes of my heart,
I hear your laughter inside my heart
Shall I say goodbye? … I can’t so stay
You are where you belong everywhere that I am.
