Death Stalks Me
Death stalks me
I sense his eyes upon me
I hear his footsteps follow
And I feel his cold breath upon my neck
Death stalks me
I will not try to run
I’ll walk this path I’ve always walked
A path now hardened by these weary years
Death stalks me
I will not try to hide
Though the road I travel
Is sheltered by the shadow of my sorrows
And clouded by the tears of my pain
I will not cower there
I will walk calmly and boldly forward
Even though I know
That death stalks me
And someday I will be his
