Dear Lord

It's time we talked.I really need to know what my purpose in life is suppose to be?I know part of my purpose is my kids and grandkids but do I or will I truly make a difference if I am around?I love them more than I have in my heart to give.Do I really help or do I hinder them by my actions.I really think sometimes it would be better if I was just a memory and hopefully a good one.I am so confused on what I am suppose to do.There is nothing more I want then to just have a little happiness in life so I have a little hope for the future.Right now I can't see a future I want to stick around for.My relationship to my husband is fading fast and I don't know what to do to fix it.How can I have love and feelings for him if I don't even have any for myself? I look for guidance but I am unable to find it.I'm sure at times it is right in front of me but I am not seeing it.I wish I could see the good in me that everyone else can see.Why can't I just follow the rules of being human and accept it. What is the true meaning of acceptance.Why are things so hard for me to understand.It's probably right in front of me but I just don't see it.I really need to find it before it's to late.I just need a little extra help.I am asking you for a little help before it's to late.I feel the only thing that I have left to give is my life.Show me the road I need to follow. Very nicely written, Colleen, but a little piece of advice.. when u feel confused .. can't make a decision.. don't do anything..your purpose right now is to get into a relationship with God and all the rest fall into place.. make HIM your focus every day and all things in your life and their meaning start to become clearer...just don't give up as hard as it is to handle.. your hubby and kids need u .. blessings... luv.. This is a write that many will be able to relate with on some level if they are truly honest with themselves! I know I can. Writing has been my venting mechanism for all of my deep dark innermost feelings. God has a purpose for each of us...we may not always agree with the hardships we are to face in this world but, I think of each of them as a test from God to see if I really believe. Colleen, the Lord presented you to your parents as a gift to love and to nurture and teach you right from wrong. He gave you your children and grandchildren under the same purpose. One thing that you are thinking of doing is wrong. If you should commit suicide do you truly believe the Lord should forgive you? He has given you life and a purpose for being here. No matter how bad you think life might be there are others who are going through worse and not thinking suicide. Love and prayers , Carol

Once again, I can totally relate to this poem. Sometimes my eyes are a little hazy and i feel like i'm absolutely nothing to anyone. Then i realized i had to stop trying to be everything to everyone. just be yourself. open your heart. love will find it's way in. there is no compassion without some suffering. be yourself.

You do have a purpose. Our children and grandchildren need us more than we can possibly know. Satan would want us confused and defeated. You can read your "Bible" and pray and be there. Make something special for them to eat once a month. Make a list of your abilities and think where can I use these. Whatever you do keep writing. Thanks for the comments on my work. Sara
