Deal Killer and Broken Promises
Deals are made a
thousand times a day
Only a tenth of them
are kept
You promise once,
you forget once
And pretty soon the
deal means nothing
Deals are overrated,
they say
Nobody can keep a
promise these days
In saying one thing,
they mean another
When you said one
thing,
I didn't expect the
other
But after shaking my
hand, you turned
around
And that little
spark of a deal we
made
Was shot not once,
but a thousand times
As many times as
there are deals in a
day
Deals are overrated,
they say
I found the truth of
that today
