Day of Brightness
The water looks cold
deep and eerie
what in its depths
to make it so so scary
The weed frongs
wave with the flow
dark and misguiding
not a good place to go
the swans float by
head tucked under wing
ducks and geese
doing the same thing
it's been a busy day
many people out in a boat
some you row yourself
others you sit and gloat
A little cafe
with a lovely view
selling home made cakes
coffee and milkshakes too
the clouds pass by
the moon trying to shine
looks like its 10 layers up
but all will be fine
when daybreak comes
the sun rises and so
A day of brightness
sunshine aglow.
The lake looks inviting
urges you too
hire a boat
find the real you
so come on everybody
let's go to the lake
A lovely walk with
an ice to partake
lie on the grass
relax in the sun
let tension pass
another memory has begun.
