Dawn From Dhustone
Clothed in the splendour of the dawn
what beauty I behold
As the early mist lay as a blanket
caring for the earths new born.
Grass crisp and silvered by the frosted air
awaiting the warm morning breeze
nudging softly the blanket aside
revealing hills rugged and bare.
A mirage of ocean the mist performs
across the valley and peaks
while the breeze will gently sway the mist
to make the ocean speak.
Yet as the earth awakens
the grass no longer crisp
the trees the hills the gentle slopes
arise from the morning mist.
Gone the mirage of oceans and lakes
as the splendour of the dawn awakes
