Dark and Gray

Dark and Gray By Rick Rucker I cannot begin to tell you how, My life has been altered now, The normal days of my life, With gloominess, they were rife, The heavens seemed to unceasingly precipitate, In fact, I had to anticipate, That each day would be ever more dour, Seemingly by the hour! I thought my life like film noir, But I was an extra, not the star, The veil that I looked through, dark and gray, Has magically been stripped away, A gorgeous creature came into my view, And gave me a life, quite new, One in which I can dance and sing, And truly can do anything! A Princess that did not wince, When confronted by a “frog-ly” Prince, She kissed me without hesitation, Leading to my emancipation, As we walk, arm in arm, There shall not befall us, any harm! We shall make a Royal decree, The Prince and Princess shall be happy to the nth degree!
