Cure

You sent me a prayer, a sweet poem, and told me a joke when I yelled at you. You took me for a walk, held my hand, talked when I was silent, shook me when I was quiet, even though I had asked you, I had begged you to leave me alone. You watched me crying, losing my control, thinking about giving up, and patiently you tried to comfort me and to show me I could handle this. You sent me flowers, and I sent you to hell. You wrote me letters, and I never responded. There wasn't one single day when I wanted you to go away that you didn't stay around. I hated you that you weren't me, I hated you for being happy, I hated you for understanding, and when I hated you most you just loved me best.
