Crying To Tell Something

CRYING TO TELL SOMETHING You cry to communicate, you need something I feel more patient now and do a learning You don’t have spoken words to tell me what you feel Feet-moving, hand-reaching, and head-shaking are what you tell Cries are the words, you want me to understand Giving up is not the answer to what you want Give me time to think about what is in your cries High and low, you’re crying a sign that I should try While you cry so intensely, my heart bleeds severely Be calm now, my loving arms are now around you While holding you, I know you are in lonely So let me hug you and sing a song for you While everything is done, I give you all the time To notice the change and feel the difference Hear my calming voice to know my presence I will tap your back and pass my hand on your forehead Chorus: I will let you feel that the world is safer With us your parents by your side It takes two people to communicate One to talk and the other to listen Refrain: You are crying to tell me something That you want me to do before sleeping Give me time to understand your own language This is the way of our own tutelage Written and posted in voicesnet.com poetry site on March 17, 2008.

I remember those days when my kids had colic. I still don't know what they wanted to this very day. haha. Anyway, it's a very enjoyable poem you wrote. LUv,Andrea

Love this Noel...!! Those cries do mean something......how lovely is this attempt to understand and communicate back to the sweet child, to make them feel safe, secure and so loved. Lovely lullaby! Love, Carrie
