Cross Roads

As I was walking one day, I came to some Cross Roads. Standing there I asked myself - why were these roads here? I looked to the East, I looked to the West. I was coming from the South. The North was up ahead. I was standing there trying to decide which road to take. This had to be The Roads of Life. That was a fact. I wouldn't go back. I knew what I had left behind. I had to go forward where a new life I would find. As I continued on the road I chose, it seemed smooth. I said to myself - I made the right choice, not knowing what was in store in the other roads. Then my road started getting a little rough and the little hills were making it hard to clime. The Cross Roads of life at one point meet. Than we come face to face with a difficult choice to make. It doesn't matter which road we take - we will always wonder about the other roads we didn't take.

If those roads were paved with yellow bricks, all you had to do was ask the scarecrow which way to go. Just kidding. Life is full of such decisions. Good write as usual Lucilla.

So true is this Lucilla, and it is very important, that we take a road, if not, there will always be regret, especially has we also have an important part to play, in this our decision.

God will always guide our steps. It is not by accident that we chose the road we are on :) Great piece, Lucilla. Love ya, Toquyen

This piece evokes thoughts of reincarnation for me Lucilla - in my estimation, the only incarnation that reaaly matters is the current one, however, if time is illusory then perhaps there is a significant intermingling of them all - thanks for stimulating my soul tonight - J.A.B. Yes, we will always wonder about our choices from time to time but life doesn't give us the option of knowing how it would have been..We can only go forward..Enjoyed your work..Great topic that you have chosen..Reminds me of Robert Frost's work "The Road Not Taken"..Your comments on my work were uplifting..Sara
