Crawling Covers
Her back like an emerald
she will swaddle in the shore,
a blanket of pebbles for the hundred year old;
her ruby for the sea
but tonight she'll let it kiss the skies gone by,
ancient dreams of those far off stars,
watching the embers drip away.
