Commentary On Street People
The morning breaks in splendid light
The night is ancient story still
And wisdom measures only sight
And sorrow cankers human will
I trembled cause my sun was chill
A child on cold and barren streets
Find scraps in garbage there he eats
What dogs sniffed and left behind. I
Am hungry, but crying defeats
The prayer I keep until I die.
ii
Let me expand metered ungut rage for you
For Self is all the landscape in your eyes
It happens when to bone it chisels you
This proud incessant screen of sugar lies
The huinted dies and the haunted just sighs
Apprehend nothing from our teary songs
It's passe blaming God for all our wrongs
Even though I starve and I'm by the door
Demonized and flightless begging with songs
It means that love is more rare than before
