Come Fly With Me
Come fly with me
I’d like to walk a day with winter
And feel the breath of winter snow
I want to be where the storm clouds billow
Not hidden here way down below
To light the flash on the thunder clouds
And keep the rumbles rolling on
In Spring I’d wash the flowers with colour
Tell the bulbs, it’s time to burst
Call the new green shoots to glisten
Tune the bird songs and just listen
I’d teach the lambs to jump and play
To help shove winters gloom away
But soon we’ll sing a summer song
Spread the joy all summer long
I’d add the diamonds to the waters
And flush the rivers with summer rain
Teach the young birds how to fly
Whistling a tune as I passed by
There’s a coolness now summers going
The Autumn colours now are showing
With the wind blowing leaves from every tree
The harvest we’ll gather, the nuts from the trees
I’ll tell the friendly squirrel is time to hasten
Winter’s coming and times awastin’
