Come Back To Me
I cringe
When you say my name
Because I’m afraid
Of what I might do
To you
Me.
I scream
Inside
But you won’t listen
To anything I say
About you
Her.
I stumble in the dark
Trying to find the switch
To the person I know you are
Not who you pretend to be.
I’ve seen the light
That shines from your eyes
When you appear to be whole
Not what the world has made.
You make a fire burn
Inside
To know that you can be true
To you
Not them.
I wish you could see
Just what you’re doing,
Who you’re hurting
Her
You
Me.
