Colorado

To taste you crisp, cold on my tongue. Sweet against my cheeks. Sun licking my skin. Feet light as air. Brain without a care- Walking fast to nowhere. To see you again Where mountains blanketed me. Somewhere no one knew. Hear the crackle of the orange sparks. Bump the hills losing track. Dark with only fire-light… I see you there.

Your poem took me to Colorado on the 4th of July. No it must be New Years. I can see it now. "...cold on my tongue." I've been there in the nothingness. It is absolutely beautiful. I should have stayed to see the night. Beautiful write. Always, Dane
