Coffeeholics

Tim Horton's and Starbucks are cropping up
On just about every corner
We've become a nation of coffeeholics
My choice is obviously the former

Being Canadian and a hockey aficionado
One of the reasons for my choice
Tim Horton played for the Toronto Maple Leafs
In the 50s and 60s we rejoiced

He tragically died in an automobile accident
On a highway in February '74
Just before this great franchise took flight
And became a “one on every corner” store

What a sad ending but his name lives on
Becoming part of Canada's culture
Was destined to become a very wealthy man
Until his very untimely departure

Carol Eastman Date: 10/25/2013 8:49:00 AM I went to McDonalds and someome ordered a McCaffee fancy coffee, but didn't pick it up... The workers offered it to me... YUM! YUM!... But I was bouncing off the walls till late that night... Hubby said it was hilarious to watch me! I'd have been walking on the ceiling if I could have got there! Love to try starbucks someday... I hear they have pretty good coffee too, but I don't drink coffee, I never liked the taste of it, I prefer Cokes...just as bad really!
