Clouds Are My Sand Castles

With no beach front in the desert I use what nature provides Winds transform the images brought to life in cotton candy fluff An ever changing spectacle of heavenly delight Swirling, twisting, flowing one into another The vapor droplets form spectres of familiar sights No pail no shovel no waves are needed It requires nothing more than time Time and the winds to see the hidden objects in natures frothy puzzle Lying back in my chair I watch the clouds drift lazily across a blue expanse and imagine that the clouds are my sand castles

While walking the beach here in Florida, I see many things in the clouds that stimulate my imagination. Some of them do seem to resemble sandcastles and your poem has lovely thoughts about the power of our creativity. Very nice, Paula. Love, Carolyn
