Closets
Sitting in the closet might protect you from a judging world,
but it also will prevent, from with truth your life to build;
Opening up that door might sever close, familiar ties
with people who say they love you, but only if you live within their lies.
Walls of that closet will start closing in upon you fast
and the future you should be living can quickly become a wasted past.
Step out from that closet embracing the person deep inside;
The beauty of who you really are is too exquisite for you to hide.
Closets are rooms in which we keep possessions safe;
They are not façades in which to hide because others, our truth, can’t face.
