Christmas Tree
The lad listened to his mom intently
as the story was being told
It was the story of Santa Claus
on which he was completely sold
She told how he lived in the North pole
And all the reindeer he controlled
including Rudolph, with the shiny nose
who guides Santa through the fog and snow
And how he brings the children gifts
As he rides his sleigh so swift
So the little boy wrote a letter
and asked his mom to post it
It was for Santa Claus, he had to admit
having sent in his request, he felt much better
Then early on Christmas morning
the boy was filled with glee
Santa had delivered the toy he asked for
And left it under the Christmas tree!
