Chris D Aechtner

Every now and then life creates a gem of a human being, a gem of genuineness a body of truth, sincerity written into sublime poetry. And like all that is good upon this planet, a situation that creates reactions from those usually, one eyed opinionated bigots those full of self importance, able to sweep all conception bar their own out of existence. So this Canadian genius like the setting sun has faded into the horizon, no doubt to rise again somewhere, after all the setting of the sun and the rising of are perpetual, and in his words not mine. (*A perfect fusion of dark and light.) Has I’m sure he is! *Borrowed from his first poem posted here on soup “Updrafts” © Harry J Horsman 2012

This is such a fitting and touching tribute to a wonderful person and poet-- I distinctly remember one of your poems for my contests before mentioning Chris, you knew right away how he was a gem. He I believe, has only gotten better with his poetry, and I continue to wish him the best. Thanks for passing by my poems. Continue writing your own wonderful and thought provoking poems, Harry, I've always admired your work!

Harry, thank you very much for your wonderful comment... I have admired you and your poetry through the years... Under Pd or Skat... you are loved by both of us... and you know exactly what I mean. My sis and I hold you very dearly. You are always one of Skat's favorite poets, she's always watching... And of course I look up to you as well... xox~PD

this was such a lovely thing for you to do. His poems are still here, right? I do hope he will read this one day. Not sure if he would ever see a note from me at Soupmail these days. Have you talked with him recently at all? He is one smart cookie!!

Hi Harry, this is a thoughtful dedication. I saw two poems posted by Chris last night but didn't have time to comment. I see now they're gone. I hope this means he is coming back or maybe I'm seeing things...hugs, Rhonda
