Chamber Music Chopped

Chamber Music Chopped

Sailing to heaven,
the violin and viola
never noticed

the cello sleeping
dangling in the sky
until it was too late.

their anchor was gone
and the trio became
a broken record.

It took me a while to appreciate chamber music but now I love it, so I couldn't pass this one up. Kathy, my dear, you've done it again! Your unique word use and your always fascinating themes are without equal! Love, Keith

I hear the second violin of the quartet was angry to be left out, but happy to see them flounder, eh? Good work, and luck in the contest. Love, daver

Well, I suppose one always has to hang on, on the way to heaven... there's no going back... well, some believe there may be exceptions... in any case , a good poem... Love, Terry (BTW, a broken record in heaven would mean repeating the same few bars over and over and over... for all eternity... which might get on your nerves, eventually...)

You know I'm not one for gushing, but WOWSER this one just SHINES! I so want to learn this minimalist approach to poetry that somehow fits a world into mere syllables. I put this into my faves. Really speaks to me, hon. And oh, if I could only afford a plane ticket! To have tea or coffee with both you and Debbie is high on my bucket list! To speak POETRY, connect that way, heaven ! xox Cyndi
