Buried Cries

heard beneath rubble cries from a buried woman so many were lost when the Twin Towers tumbled foggy haze fell on New York rescuers, heroes many joined in the effort indestructible -- the feeling that we once knew -- vulnerable now in grief

"The feeling that we once knew." This, sadly, says so much. They tease the old for living in the past so much, but, truth is, we've lost so, so much. Love, daver

I can see you sitting cross legged under a trees shadow, overlooking the memorial for those fallen 911 victims. Inspiration comes from even the smallest detail. This poem was well written and I enjoyed it very much.. Good to see you again my friend, it has been a while..:JP]

Wow, Carolyn that is a very awesome write that you have written! My favorite part of the poem has to be the use of these two words: indestructible and vulnerable...which are used extremely appropriately! The powerful write is encouraging and it leads me to the heart and soul! I just love your write! Great Work!!
