Bonkers

I'm afraid to comment on our extra warm winter Afraid I might break the spell This here's only between me and youse guys From the roof tops I wanna yell Hallelujah, gadzooks, feels like the tropics Went out without a coat yesterday Is this guy nuts? Has he gone totally bonkers? Sure feels like a spring day in May Dream on little fellow, you're delusional methinks You're in for a brush with reality Oh well I've heard those psychiatric institutions Are nice with a air of tranquility But sadly it eventually will come to an end And I'll be all hunkered down inside Turning the thermostat to “sizzling” again A heat rash will redden my hide Wrote this a year ago as we were experiencing one of the mildest winter on record! This year... ugh!... back to normal! Been dumped on a few times! © Jack Ellison 2012

A warm winter in Canada—does sound bonkers. The world is strange! Always, Laura

Last years winter was perfect in St. Louis... unfortunately the summer was a heat filled, drought ridden, disaster... I'll take the winters if they'll give us a reasonable summer. Was nice tho wasn't it.... Heading home on the 9th. Papa had a high blood pressure scare... but every thing looks good to go, any way... I'll be on speed dial for him... and ready if he needs me... But honestly don't think he'll need me for a while... I was in Phoenix for 2&1/2 months. Time to go home... Poor Hubby

I really loved reading this incredible and delightful poem this afternoon...this is such a grandiose write due to the awesome subject matter...a mild winter! It's still possible that we could get a mild rest of the winter, cross your fingers! What a powerful piece, I just love this poem my friend! Great Work!!

You always write such great reviews, my good friend! Thank you. So far this year we're back the frigid, snowy, winter I've known and come to love... NOT!!! LOL

Uhh I don't know, Jack. This poem can apply to where I am at. Though not without a jacket, we haven't had any snow staying on the ground yet. It's kind of like a mild winter. I love it. It can go like this and zoom to Spring I would not be the one to complain. It's awesome! Enjoyed :)
